Zavia is an independent publication. This policy explains what data we collect and why, in plain language. If you have questions, contact us.
Data we collect
- Newsletter subscriptions: your email address (and name, if you provide it), stored so we can send the newsletter you asked for.
- Contact form: your name, email, and message, used only to respond to you.
- Comments: the name and comment you submit. Comments are moderated.
- Usage analytics (if enabled): aggregated, anonymized page-view statistics via the analytics provider configured by the site operator. No invasive cross-site tracking.
- Tools: our calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into a tool is sent to us or stored.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not send marketing emails you did not ask for. The newsletter goes only to subscribers.
- We do not use dark patterns to obtain consent.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link or the newsletter page. To request deletion of your data, contact us and we will handle it promptly.
Cookies and advertising
Zavia uses minimal cookies: a theme preference and, for administrators, a session cookie.
We use Google AdSense to serve ads on this site. Google and its advertising partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also learn more about how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps at Google's partner-sites policy.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the update date above will change and significant changes will be noted. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
This is a plain-language policy, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a professional for your jurisdiction before relying on it commercially.
